Education, preregrination, self-development, inculcation of moral principles, values and traditions, religiousness, leisure activities, participation in academic quiz, computer tuitions at the age of 14 years, competition, writing contest, creative card designs, letter writing to loved ones… Primary education begins at the age of 5 years old at the Lady P. K. Boolell Government School. Playful, a scheduled timetable allows an academic success. Morning wakeup at 6 o’clock, a thankful note to the friend accompanying on our way to school daily. Integrated the pre-primary school at the age of 4 years old, the basics of the education taught by the teachers at La Cabane des Gosses Pre-primary school. Mother’s day, a poetic designed card was gifted to parents. On the completion of pre-primary education, an intermediate educational adventure seconded for the cutie who intelligently managed her scholarly-family life… Communication and dancing skills mastered at the baitka and within the family groups during primary schooling. After school hours, the studious student reached home from classes and tuitions from Standards I to VI and followed the daily routine : freshen up, cartoon movies and quiz for one or two hours or indoor and outdoor activities with cousins, revision sessions and homework activities, prayers at 6 o’clock and dinner and finally bedtime. The favorite list of cartoons movies and animated storytelling books are listed : Casper, Moomins, Razmoket, Oui-Oui, Inspecteur Gadget, Marsupilami, Little Mermaids, Little Red Riding Hood, Blanche Neige, The Little Mermaids, Bébé Ours, Jungle Book, Pocahontas, Fort Boyard, Marimar and Luz Clarita. Leisurely activities namely Kathak Dance Classes and swimming sessions with family were programmed for the school holidays and week-ends, with fasting on Mondays, Wendnesdays and Fridays weekly. Initiation to the fundamentals of the Hindi Language, religious texts and sacred books specifically Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the legend of Indian stories and festivals, singing classes at the ‘Baïtka’, a village club gathering students of primary and secondary schools for advanced studies in Hindi Languages. April and October, veneration months to the worship of the hindu deities. Accompanied to pious events with parents and cousin brothers, BP melodiously croons religious songs, mantras, classical and devotional instrumental music and this activity repeated within the four walls of our home. Heartfelt thanks to my family, specially, my aunts, grandparents, uncles and parents, for their gifts, guidance and love and the special one who taught me to recite Durga Chalisa and read story books in Hindi, French and English. Activities were well-planned for the children. Cycle-riding, kite flying, collection of beads from the grasslands to create necklaces, swing rides… the other activities practiced during the childhood phase. Ignorant of friendship and correlation, Bhavna maintains distance relationships rather than mingling. The worst moment during my teenage is the day I lost my childhood friend or love and his contact number.
